gtx 970 is not working lag is every where

i am new in pc gaming was sony fan all my life and now after i have build a good pc i got gtx 970 gigabyte g1 gaming adition used and i have i5 4690 the non k version with 6 gb ram bought rise of the tomb raider and it lag when i play on very high setting ? does anyone knows why is that could it be my ram or my psu its seasonic 500w

I did inistall nvidia driver but I had HD 4600 igpu br fore working fine through gtx 970 do I need clean driver or new windows
