Ram and motherboard pcie slot burned?

I got my new rams.. (corsair vengeance lpx ddr4 3000mhz connected to Asus z170 pro gaming) I hold the PC on for a while and I felt really bad smell coming out of ram..... Also the monitor didn't display. I quickly turned off the PC from supply button...
And I can see a bit like burn on stick golden thing... help me please I'm in damn panic atm.. is it broken now?? Can it be my fault or rma would work?

The psu is corsair cx600m. Yes the burning marks are on motherboard pcie slot and on ram.. they are quite tiny though.. and I think the ram was installed correctly... BTW it's a 2 stick ram so if the first 2 pcie slots broke then I've 2 more to use.

Well lol, I did take mine to the shop and it actually still worked.. Which was very interesting. Now i've been running with with motherboard / ram without any single issues, one stick is even on the burned slot.
