Please help me turning my Hp 6200 Microtower into gaming pc... I want to upgrade my Power Supply, as it can not hold up the R9 270 GPU! Please tell me a decent Powersupply! My PC specs are as follows:
Core i5 2500
8 GB RAM
320 Watt PSU.
Thank You!

External power supplies have been used, it's not a very good idea. Moving the CPU and RAM into a new case and motherboard would work, you will most likely need to re-install Windows and it may have issues activating on the OEM Windows license that comes with the HP system. Microsoft would most likely allow the activation though, if a motherboard dies they know it may need to be replaced so allow...

You may be able to use a 270 with a ATA or SATA power adapter or even better the new RX 460 which uses less power but is pretty much as fast as the 270. Trick is finding that card in stock at a good price.

I'd avoid the higher power cards though and stick with something like the 750 Ti, which is under $100 now with rebates. You may still have issues with that system since OEM motherboards are not made for good comparability with upgraded video cards. At least you need to check for a BIOS update, even then don't expect any add-on video card to work 100% for sure.

The main problem is that I have already bought a R9 270, I was not aware about this HP motherboards... I was on a very tight budget, but now, I ended up wasting my money....
I was wondering that either I can use an external power supply to run the GPU..... OR..... just swap up the motherboard, case and psu....
WHAT WILL YOU SUGGEST!

This would be a good cheap motherboard for your CPU http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?p=MB-H61MVG4&c=fr&hash=d187bjsG45Xzen4kWYRr5rz%2BAT%2BQ992pYhzE6FbDDKX7JZgtG%2FnEUetg1LlDuyZGoVxOb4fJO%2Bhnj6HBwCO6EEwpe1VFM3oHEwL2qKolv%2BBs0fzizBR1vQ&gclid=CI3YvLqz1c4CFUMfhgodAUEHNg

Just did them all from the same place for simplicity.

Don't know about "suggest" but if you can't afford new parts, used ones that you know are working are OK, or at least bought from sellers with good ratings.
