So what is happening is that my friend upgraded his graphics card and he gave me his old one, it's an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 in basically perfect condition. I can browse the internet for limitless hours, but when I try to run a game for about 30 minutes to an hour (if I get lucky 2 hours), the computer will randomly shut off. I then looked it up on the NVIDIA website of the requirements you should have for the graphics card, I'm currently using a 300W stock PSU. Any help / tips would be appreciated!!!

This is some of the information (Posted on the NVIDIA Website)...

Maximum Graphics Card Power (W) - 195W

Minimum System Power Requirement (W)5 - 550W

Hi

If recomended psu is 550 watts and you have 300watts psu probably the psu is overheating and shutting down
I am surprised a 300 watt psu has correct pci-e connecters for the graphics card

Probably Two 6 pin pci-e required
Does label on psu say what max 12 volt power it supplies in watts. Or amps?
Graphics card needs 16 amp or 195 watts by itself

yes, I needed to purchase 2 adapters to power it. Is the 300 watt psu not enough wattage to handle it, is that why it's overheating? I'll reply later on the volts, currently at work.
