Hi, I have recently changed my wifi connection from 2.4ghz to 5ghz. My pc and phone work fine, however my printer can't access the network as it doesn't support 5ghz connection. Is there a way to set up the router so that my pc is connected to 5ghz connection but my printer is connected to 2.4ghz. I have a Virgin media super hub

hi

Which exact model of virgin super hub ,
2 or 3?

They should support both 2.4 & 5 GHz at the same time with different
SSID for each channel

If you have problems read the user guide
If that fails ask their technical support

I tried to, i can either set it to 2.4ghz or 5ghz, i cant find one that enables both

Typically there will be two different login options for your wifi.

Request a new superhub mate, you should have been offered one by now anyway

The 2&3 model are far far better, the sh 1 is absolutely abysmal for wireless signal , I had to use a secondary router with mine just to get an acceptable wireless signal downstairs & my house is not particularly large & has no solid internal walls...

Nobody should still be running the original superhub now , its hugely outdated

Yea, i have ordered super hub 3 should be here by Tuesday
Thanks

Good stuffmate, you'll be much happier - I drag 90mbs on 5g on a different floor to the router (never ever possible on the original model)

& activation is a automated phone call now instead of having to deal with an Indian(or even worse scottish ) call centre operative
