I have a ASUS M5A99X EVO. I am trying to upgrade from 8 GB of Corsair 1866 pC3-14900 9-10-9-27 to 16(4x4) GB of G.skill 1866 8-9-9-24. I also just upgraded to an FX8300 CPU. The CPU negotiates the correct speed with the old ram. The new ram only gets registered at CAS 11 regardless of slot, number of sticks inserted etc.
Has anyone had any luck with using CAS8 on this MOBO? Any thoughts on what i should try to do to see if it can reach it?
