Hi guys ,
as i published earlier , i just recently bulit my gaming rig ,spec are:
intel core i5 6600k
corsair lpx 2*4gb ddr4 2400MHz ram
asus z170 pro gaming motherboard
cooler master 212 evo
corsair vs 650
i originally had gtx 970 but i recieved a faulty one so i returned it .Now i planning to buy a new graphics card for around the same budget. I am confused on which graphic card to go for Gtx 1060 or the rx 480.
i was intially going to buy the gtx 1060 as it was cheaper than the latter in my country but now the sapphire nitro + rx 480 costs as same as the msi aromor oc gtx 1060.
which one should I go for?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Solution
I see. I would say that they will both share a similar fate time-wise, but, get the 480 for a different reason: FreeSync. Monitors rocking that are way cheaper than monitors rocking G-Sync.

I don't wanna change my graphics card for a long time. So as future proofing rx 480 is looking like a more viable option because of dx12 and vulkan but the gtx 1060 is faster and consumes less power. I am really confused as which graphic card to go for

I will. Thanks for your time and help but can also help with some monitor help. See i have been using a old 720p monitor till now but i decided to upgrade it so can you tell me some good 1080p monitor with freesync

I have no way of knowing what prices are in your country, so go through this list: http://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=192001080&A=2&sort=a8&page=1&H=120,240
That being said, that AOC is the cheapest that has all the wanted features, so i suspect you won;t find anything cheaper.
You could go for somethign lower priced, but you would have to give up 144Hz. I wouldn;t do that. A good monitor is actually the best investment you can make, as it may last you several builds/GPUs.
