my motherboard - gigabyte 78lmt-s2pt
which has PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot
and the gpu needs PCI-E 3.0
will it work ? if yes then what is 3.0

i have corsair vs450 psu
in some websites it says that 600w psu is recommended .. is it true ? or 450w is fine ?

Solution
PCIe 3.0 is PCIe 3rd generation. PCIe revisions are backwards compatible so, despite the GPU wanting 3.0, it'll work just fine in a 2.0 slot.
