Will a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo fit in my case?

Solution
Well there are extra considerations like the difference between some cases with a window is different interior space than cases with a flat side or fan vent. Easy to loose 5mm or so there which some sites like pcpartpicker can't take into consideration as its an often unknown dimension
The Corsair 200R (that I currently use) is one of the narrowest cases that can fit a Hyper 212 EVO - it has room for a 160mm cooler, with no behind-motherboard-tray cable routing space, and it's 8.27 inches wide (outside dimensions), so a 7.6 inch width case is unlikely to have room. However, it's hard to be certain without knowing the exact model of case.

Problem with just a case width is that some cases have the motherboard closer to center with lots of room behind for wiring and less room above the cpu and some cases have the motherboard closer to the side panel giving more room above the cpu but less room behind. So there is a need to know the exact case so exact dimensions can be looked up. A case supporting coolers 158mm or smaller won't fit the hyper 212, a case supporting coolers 160mm and smaller will.

Assuming a standard ATX mounting, for simplicity let's call it 0.25" for standoffs, 0.25" for the motherboard tray and another 0.25" for the motherboard itself (likely thinner than 0.25") and 0.50" for cable management, that would leave 6.35" for a cooler (a little less, as I'm assuming the 7.6 came from external measurements). In theory, that's more than enough (the 212 needs 6.26"). Whether it is in practice, depends entirely on the case in question.

The other question is whether that 7.6 inches is even accurate. For example, I looked up specs on the Deepcool Tesseract SW (since it was listed at the top when viewing cases at PCPartPicker), and according to PCPartPicker, it's 7.64 inches wide, but the manufacturer specs give the width as 210mm, which by my calculations comes out to 8.27 inches.
