Hello,

I had built a PC about three years ago and I am now considering investing into buying more RAM. I currently have a Corsair Vengeance DDR3 2x4 GB RAM

installed into my Asrock Z97 Pro3 Mobo.

I was thinking of buying G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Intel Z170 Platform / Intel X99 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-2400C15D-16GVR

Would this new RAM be compatible with my old memory and mobo? Would I need to make any adjustments in my BIOS or anything else when adding this memory to my PC? Thank you in advance.

Solution
The RJs should be fine, DRAM doesn't have to be on the compatibility list, all the QVL is basically is a small sampling of DRAM they had available in their labs and had time to test with
