If he would want to overclock the cpu in the near future would 650 w also be enough? assuming a decent quality like at least bq e10 or maybe dark power/seas some ppl say 550, some 650 and some 750 :O

thats another topic and maybe he needs the ht and does rendering and so on

what i ask myself also is if your statement is really true for all gaming situations, what if you would have heavy cpu use, or take overwatch which makes use of 6 cores atm(read about many ppl having bad performance with i5 compared to i7 guys), streaming it also and lower the graphics quality to achieve high fps for 144 hz at all prices?
is my guess to prefer his setup over yours(i5 + 1070) for such a scenario wrong? or does it maybe only apply to some variables like streaming(with cpu support for lower bitrate for example) this would be my case so i thought i could ask this too, as we already reached this topic :p
