I have a led tv connected to my pc and use beyondtv link to send video/audio to the tv using hdmi. Since beyondtv hasn't been supported since 2009, i'm thinking of switching to plex. Also planning on getting an AVR system to be between my pc and tv.
With my current beyondtv link setup, I'm always losing the cursor since the tv is in another room. My display are setup as extended. I guess I could switch to mirrored but there are times when I'd like to operate the pc and not have the output on the tv.
The AVR I'm getting will have dlna capability. plex has an android app to control it. So can I uses my smart hone to control plex to select video from my library and have it sent to my avr and then the video to my led tv. Since the avr to pc connection is over hdmi, how can i prevent windows from thinking this is another monitor.
