Since you are willing to wait a little longer...do so. A new i5 will be available in 3 months. And that means more choices. Personally I'm looking forward to some bling bling mobos. RGB is becoming standards in all PC things we do. (mouse, case lighting, desk lighting..) If...

- if you are going to get 8GB RAM then I sugged 2x4GB sticks to get dual-channel memory.
- I suggest upgrading that PSU to a 80+ Gold EVGA G2 or similar would work best
- add a 120GB SSD if you have the budget at least for OS and important games.
- I would prefer a Cryorig CPU cooler, the hyper212 is quite decent but the fan quality is subpar and can be quite noisy.

Admirable
GPU is much more important than CPU for a great gaming experience.

Consider this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($198.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus Z170-E ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($119.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($38.99 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Crucial BX200 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($65.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon RX 480 8GB Red Devil Video Card ($279.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Thermaltake Versa H23 ATX Mid Tower Case ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Antec EarthWatts Green 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($68.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.88 @ OutletPC)
Total: $806.80
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The mobo/PSU combo still allows for a second RX 480 in the future (say if a FreeSync monitor is ever considered), just have to grab some more storage when you run out of the base SSD.....

MERGED QUESTION
Question from Zayy : "$800 Gaming Build"

Looks really good. Here are my notes:
1. Get 2 sticks of RAM. Take advantage of Dual Channel..One listed is slightly faster and same price.
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($38.98 @ Newegg)
2. Go for a AMD 480. It'll run you around $235 but it is excellent, or opt for the 470 for around $200. One problem though....they are hard to get a hold of. This might help:

RGB is becoming standards in all PC things we do. (mouse, case lighting, desk lighting..) If possible, wait a couple months and get a 1060 or 480 (GPU). Most of the build would remain the same but prices will change and fluctuate.
