I canceled my Dish and was waiting to return the Hopper with Sling. While I was waiting I decided to see if I could get the movies off of the drive. I put the Hopper drive into my PC and low and behold the drive was dead. I placed the drive back into the Hopper and yes it was deader than a door nail. I checked and the Hopper power line had 4 lines Y B B R and the pc power lines were 5 lines Y B R B Or. Bummer. I could buy the exact model number of the drive and replace it, but my son pointed out that it wouldn't have the Hopper OS on it (if that is where it is) I have found a used Hopper with Sling for $70 I should be able to take out it's drive and put it in the one I'm sending back. Now it would have the same drive with the software. But when they get it back will they know the drive have been switched out?
