Hi im going tot build a new PC but im taking a msi gtx 1070 gaming x and the Cooper master v550 PSU but the PSU have only 2x 6+2 PCI-E connectors and the GPU needs a 6+8 pins connector so is that possible with the 2x 6+2 pins connector on the PSU??

specs:
Motherboard: msi h170 gaming m3
Processor: Intel i5 6500
Videocard: msi gtx 1070 gaming x
Psu: cooler master v550watt

Thanks

Solution
plug in six on one and all eight on the other, you should be ok.
the 6+2 is the same as an 8 (6+2) pin or a six (6+0) pin

Yes, those 6+2 connectors can be used on both 6 pin and 8 pin, just remember to connect those extra 2 also when plugging in the cables. There usually aren't any direct 8 pin connectors from a PSU, but they are 6+2 so you can use the same connector on 6 or 8 pin slot.
