Is RAM Speed A Matter when it comes to Gaming Performance???

So are ram speeds a matter when it comes to gaming??? do 3200mhz ram sticks and 2666mhz ram sticks have a huge difference when it comes to real world situations??? Just a quick question for a guys at this forum!

No, i doesn't affect gaming in more than half a frame. the reasoning to this is because unless your compairing ram clocked at 2 mhz vs something clocked at the old ddr3 which is clocked at 1333 mhz you will obviousness see a difference but that is only because that ram is under clocked. Underclocked ram will affect your performance but a difference from ddr3 which is clocked at 1333 vs ddr 4 oced to 3.8 ghz, there will be less than 1 frame of a difference. you can check out linustechtips as fast as possible for a video on ddr3 vs ddr4 if u wana a more elebroate explination
