There is this situation with my Asus motherboard and case:

The problem is that I separated my Asus case's power switch pins (for another motherboard), and don't remember where they belong anymore.

Solution
You do know that all you have to do to boot it up is touch a piece of metal to those 2 pins, right? I realize it's not a solution, but I just wanted to make sure you knew that.

Hey scuzzy, thanks for replying. I dont know what you mean by "short", but: I made a mistake in the original post and updated it. They were actually Red (pwr) Black (ground) and not working, if you thought they should be the other way around

The problem is I don't know which ones go to the 6th and 7th, I only tried Red and Black

Noticed that 6-Red 7-Black and 6-White 7-Black gives all fans a pulse (they spin a little) when I toggle the power supply on.
I didn't get the power switch to do anything yet, I must be missing something.

Thank you, somehow forgot that, that's pretty impressive of you! Now with the original pin setup, the power switch light works. It still doesn't boot though, so I need to investigate what else I have messed up. I'm starting to have the feeling it's not about the pins at all hehe..

Now I have investigated all components. Everything is set up properly except for the "I have no idea what this is" in the pic. Power switch light and light on motherboard are on. Still nothing happens when I press the power switch. I don't even know what to ask help for anymore. I got so close

This worked! No, I didn't realize it at all. So there is still something to the pins! I'll investigate some more later on. I got it running and that's mainly what I was looking for, so HUGE thanks to your effort mr. scuzzy. If I don't find a way I think I'll choose that as a solution haha.
