Hi guys and thanks for reading. I am due to sell my pc this week and my budged will be around £320. I have some parts which i thought will suit me for my new setup and save me some money.
I have everything else apart from motherboard, processor and ram memory. Now the big question... INTEL OR AMD??? what to go for...

If i would go for Intel:
- Intel Core Skylake Processor i5-6500/3.2 GHz Turbo Boost 3.6 GHz
- HyperX FURY 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 2133 MHz DDR4
- Gigabyte H110M-S2H Motherboard

If I would go for AMD :
- AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor
- MSI 970 Gaming AMD AM3 GBE LAN ATX Motherboard
- HyperX FURY 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 1866 MHz

Now the parts I have
- 750 +80 bronze PSU
- 2x WD hard drives 500gb
- PC case with cooling fans etc
- external sound card scarlett 2i2
- all the external components (monitor keyboard etc)
- ASUS R7 250x 2gb ddr5 ( which seems good for most games I use)

If you have any advise or any other setups which would be better for the price then please help me out. :)

Both are good, however I'd go with Intel as right now it's more future proof than AMD. Kaby lake, new Intel's architecture is coming and it will be compatible with current 1151 sockets, so if you decide on upgrading later on, you don't need to build a whole new system, just change the processor.

I'm pretty sure your GPU will bottleneck either of those CPUs to be honest.. But disregarding that, I'd go with the FX. Using all cores the FX would perform a little better, and I realize you'd rarely be using all 8, but single core performance is pretty similar and you can over clock the FX pretty easily. DDR4 is nice, but I think you'd notice more of a difference with 16gb of DDR3 than you would with 8gb of DDR4. I also prefer MSI mobos but that's just imo.

Edit, derp, sorry, I read cannonlake.

But yes, good idea to go intel, their CPUs tend to last a lot longer (performance wise) than AMD.

Yes, that should handle no problem.

thats great thanks. Would you also recommend a better motherboard with this set up then the one I would have picked?

If you plan on using a single GPU only, go with the best h170 chipset motherboard you can afford and you'll be able to save money for a better GPU in the near future.

Any motherboard will do as long as it fits the CPU that you want to use.

I've used this board in a few builds and it works great, best price to feature ratio.
Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5491#ov

The r7 250x is really an awful card and it is pointless to buy an i5 if you intend to use it with the R7 250X, I would definitely consider upgrading to a RX 470 or higher. : http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5990#kf

If you aren't looking at buying a new graphics card, rather go and buy an i3 processor instead and save some money to use on a new graphics card.

I am planning on buying new graphic card in near future but for now I will have to stick with what I got. I believe that r7 250x its not a greatest card in the world but it does do the job well at high settings and for now it will suit me. Upgrading from fx 4170 ( the one I have)to i5 will definitely improve my performance. And in the near future I will buy a graphic card

No, single core performance of the 6500 would be significantly better.
