Hey guys, been asking a lot of questions lately, sorry. I just have been trying my best to get my 4k rig going and I am always missing some bit of information that misses my desired results.

So my plan is SLI 1080s. I currently have a titan x that I am selling. The only thing that I am now a bit apprehensive about is the VRAM. I remember just playing the bf1 alpha a while ago VRAM usage was at about 11.5 GB. Now, I understand obviously that it's the alpha and not optimized at all, but I also remember COD BO3 using about 5.5/6GB at 4k without any AA settings high either.

It's more of an opinion question but do you expect the 1080 to accommodate 4k VRAM usage for a little while to come? I would just hate to sink the money in now and it be great for half a year until new games come out using 8/8.5GB of vram.

Thanks!

wildcard it maybe enough for games that came out like 2 years ago but not today's titles. i had a gtx 1080 returned it for a 1080 ti you're not going to get 60 fps on those titles especially on 4k . try to play shadow of the tomb raider with that and you're fighting a down hill battle with heat and eventually shorten the card's life , the gtx 1080 ti just burned up on a acer 4k i bought from micro center , and most people are starting to realize that the 1080 ti performs well on 2k resolutions not 4k even on 1080 p resolution is feeling the pressure b/c games are becoming more graphically inclined , you should of known this wildcard
