Hello everyone. So about 3 months ago I bought a Netgear Wireless Adapter so I could get wifi on my computer. It was working fine for a while until just yesterday i found out something was wrong.
Every 20 minutes or so while I'm playing a game or browsing the web, I would get a very bad spike. This spike would raise my in-game ping to about 900+. But every time I unplug and replug the adapter, everything goes back to normal.
I have tried plugging it up to different spots, uninstalling the software, updating the drivers, etc. but nothing works.
Has this happened to anyone else? I really don't want to buy another.

Sometimes wifi is just that way or the adapter could be defective. Check to see if it is still under warranty and if so, send it back to Netgear.

I don't know what you expected from a wireless adapter but thats what you get. i had similar problems with my TP-link one. I Highly recommend you get a Ethernet over power plug as this allows you to connect through Ethernet cable without trailing one around the house, and will give you much better speeds, you can find these online, i got mine for 20 Quid and it came with 2 plugs and 2 ethernet cables. one goes into your router, the other into your PC.
