I just finished my first build.
i7- 6700k
Maximus Formula VIII
Corsair DDR4 - 16gb-3200mhz
Corsair H115i
When I installed the cpu cooler, I accidently installed it with the bracket upside down(yes newb error). I took the block off after it made contact with the cpu and thermal paste to readjust the bracket. I then put the cooler back on and screwed it down.
I have good temperatures, (idle 24c-30c) (load 60c-70c). I was wondering if I should have reapplied new thermal paste? My temperatures seem to be fine, I'm just worried that I should have reapplied new paste after I took the block off to adjust the bracket.
Thoughts?
