Hi guys. I am helping my brother build a gaming PC. I have the following parts, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas to improve, or other! (overclocking isn't important, he doesn't know what it is and won't use it at all), I do not want it to be very expensive, max: 1.200$). My brother doesn't really play GPU based games so if you know about a GPU that might be cheaper, It could be a possibility. I just want a GPU incase he starts playing a game that runs on GPU.

-Intel i5-6100
-Asus z170-A
-Corsair Carbide 300R mid tower
-Seagate barracuda 3TB
-Corsair CX500, 500W PSU
-HyperX Fury DDR4 2400MHz 8GB (kit of 2)
-MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti Gaming 2G PhysX

Thank you!

Sorry typo, meant the it 6400. I think he will be fine with a HDD and not an SSD (in the beginning atleast, can upgrade later if he needs to). Do you have any suggestions for a better PSU, CPU and GPU? I dont know much about computers tbh, so I just chose some that sounded well :/. I meant that he plays mostly league of legends, minecraft and some cs:go, and that they are not GPU based, am I right?

No need for a GPU at all if he is not gaming. You can add one later if/when needed. Say he want to get into gaming a year from now. For teh cash you pay now for a card, you be able to get him somethign considerably better by then. No use in getting one to just sit there idle, and the integrated graphics is sufficient for light gaming. Also, the price diff from the 6400 to teh 6500 is so small taht it's an absolute no-brainer to get a teh 6500 for it's 500Mhz advantage.

EDIT: Also, no computer should be without an SSD these days, no matter the usage. Period.

The reason he is getting the pc is to game on it. Is the i5 6500 a better choice for the pc instead of a i5 6400?. I guess I will put a samsung 850 pro 256GB in or something

Yes, the 6500 is considerably better and better bang for your buck. The 850 pro does not justify it price premium over the 850 evo.

you lost me about your bro gaming or not. If he doesn't play GPU intensive games at all, dont; get him a GPU. If he does, get him the best you can afford.
