I upgraded my pc the day before yesterday.Bought MSI B150m MORTAR motherboard. But whenever I boot up the CMOS gets reset everytime. I then manually have to select my boot drive from bios and then it starts.... Please help
Just replace the battery on the motherboard, they cost like 2~3USD. It shouldn't be depleted yet as it's a fairly new motherboard, but that's the most likely cause.
Also there might be a problem with your Powersupply... The powersupply should be providing phantom power to the motherboard to keep the clock and bios powered. If your computer is on a lightswitch circuit you should change that.

I had a fx 8350 and GTX 970 running well with the powersupply i have.... I dont think that the power supply is an issue
Just saying if the Powersupply doesn't provide the power needed while its off then the new battery might just as fast.
It would still take years for the battery to fail. Back in the 80s and 90s, we had AT power supplies that didn't supply any current at all when the machine was off, and the batteries still lasted for years.
You'd be surprised by how common this new batteries don't have much charge left. I've seen this happen more the past two years than in the past 10 years I've worked with computers.
