Hello Guys,
i hope that all of you having a good day. i'm kinda worried about this CPU,
My Config is :
CPU : AMD Athlon X4 760K Quad Core 3.80
For Cooling : Air Cooling, Simple fans.
Motherboard : ASRock FM2A55M-VG3+
GPU : NVidia GTX 760 ZOTAC. 2 GB

let me tell you about my story, my PC was perfect when i bought it. it was working fine no problems, playing BF4, Using Sony Vegas 13, Adobe After Effects.
Everything is fine, until it started shuting down while playing Battlefield 4 for 10 - 15 Minutes,
when i opened the case i found it plenty of dust, i clean it up, and its back to work fine,
Now i don't get any shutdowns, i just noticed that fans double their speed while rendering on Sony Vegas or While playing Battlefield 4. when i opened HWMonitor i get shocked, Temp were going between 60 - 90° C, when i look at bios i found temp between 57 - 63° C, i started looking for some threads here on forum, i found that HWMonitor cannot read the correct info, so i downloaded AOD " AMD OverDrive " and i got another temp,
i just finished testing by using Prime95 & Geekbench 3,

These are pictures,

This Picture using Geekbench 3 :

so is this normal or my CPU is going overheat ! and what i can do for it ?
i'm thinking to sell this PC and try to build another with Intel CPU ?!

And Thanks a lot for your time and your reading for my problem ! i wish that i can find a solution.
PEACE :)!

Solution
Your case supports CPU coolers up to 176mm tall.

The CM Hyper 212X Dual Fan features the same heatsink and the popular 212 EVO, but has two fans, each more optimized for quiet high speed airflow than the 212 EVO's fan. It can handle up to 220W, so you'll have no problems keeping temps in check.

For thermal paste, I recommend Arctic MX-4 and Arctic Silver 5.
Thermal margin is dropping to unsafe levels (anything below 20 deg C is deemed to be).

You mentioned cleaning the PC and getting rid of dust. Have tried reseating the cooler? You'd need to clean off the old thermal paste and apply new thermal paste to do so. Hopefully that should fix the high temperatures/low thermal margins.

No i didn't, but it's already night here, tomorrow i'll try to change the thermal paste, Thanks for your idea :)

Thermal margin is for core temperatures. His cores are barely cool enough in one of the tests, plenty cool in the other two.

However, core temperatures and package temperatures are different. A maximum package temperature of 129C is way too high. Please reseat the cooler. If this does not work for you, consider a better CPU cooler.

The truth yes, i removed it and i tried to clean it and I wiped it with a towel, and installed it again,
Can you give me an idea about which cooling system to bring, my price range is between 30 - 100$.

HWMonitor value's and AOD are different a lot, in the forum most people said that HWmonitor is bad in reading value's of AMD CPU's and AOD is the best. the cooler is set correct,

AMD overdrive is only reporting core temperatures. HWMonitor is only reporting package temperatures. These two temperatures are completely different parts of the chip and it's not unusual for there to be such a large delta.

I would replace the cooler.

can you explain more ?.
cause i'm kinda noob in these things !

The cores are the parts of the CPU that do the work for Windows. There is a lot more to a CPU than simply the cores. The package temp is the average temp of the entire CPU, excluding cores. These two temperatures being so drastically different tells me that your cooler is doing a poor job, even when the CPU is idle and the cores are not very busy at all.

For example, if you open Task Manager and view CPU usage, it's averaging out the activity on the cores vs their total capabilities. 100% usage means that every clock cycle is being used, there's no room for extra processes. 50% usage means that 50% of the cycles are being used and 50% are not. 0% means the CPU is idle.

I could go on for pages, but I think this is enough information for someone to start out with.

Thanks a lot for helping me today, i'll order the cooler now, it will be delivered by tomorrow night, for the thermal paste i should mix both of them or use just a one ?

Just use one.

When I recommended the both of them, I meant that those are the two that I trust.

However, the Hyper 212X Dual Fan comes with pretty good thermal paste, but it may need to be replaced after a year or so. I always recommend have a few tubes of thermal paste on hand, just in case.

Hi Suzuki, Thanks for passing by the thread, does the power supply have a priority in this issue ? i guess that the 600W is enough ? or i'm wrong ?

I'm going to assume that your intention was not to point fingers at me... No hard feelings.

However, I'd like you to explain why he needs a new power supply. He hasn't listed the model (so we don't know he has a low quality unit) and power delivery appears to be stable or else the CPU not be able to run at such a high clock speed without having stability issues.

600W is not enough information.. What model power supply do you have?

OP is using a KINGWIN ABT-650MM 650W.

He did say:

The temperatures are indeed fine. The fact that you say that a thermal margin of 20 C is bad means that what you're saying is not very good advice at all.
