Xbox 360 region code help

I've just bought Assasin's Creed 4 and wanted to play it on my Xbox 360 which is from Taiwan (Asia). Most of my games are from Asia however I currently live in Malta and when I play it, it says its a wrong region code. AC 4 is PAL and it doesn't run, however I have another game (LEGO Marvel Superheroes) which is also PAL and it does run. I have no idea as to why one works and the other does not. Please could someone explain this to me??

I bought both of these games from a games store and yes the region code was clearly presented on the box.

New copy or "pre-played"?

Could have been the wrong box or wrong contents. Manufacturers/vendors are making less and less effort to have good quality assurance and even if they do there is no guarantee that the workers really do their jobs. Get the order out no matter what you ship....

Do you have access to any other Xbox 360's you could try the game on - family, friends....?

Take it back to the game store and see if they can get it to play.

No other immediate ideas at this time.
