What is SmartView on my Asus monitor vg248qe

Im messing around with the monitor settings and i came across the setting called SmartView. When i activate it it seems to make the screen brighter. What does it do and should i turn it on? This monitor is used for Gaming

I think it would be a decent starting point. But you should probably tweak it yourself to ensure you get what you are looking for. That's what I did for mine (same monitor).

sharpness 50
Tracefree 40
ASCR On.

What do you think of this?

I'd have to see it. But I would turn off ASCR.
