So I had a quick question. I found the media creation tool online for windows 10, so I put it onto a disk and inserted it into my disk drive on my new pc build. It didn't boot correctly. Could someone tell me/ link me a way to install windows on a computer without an OS? I was going to get the Windows 10 Demo Edition for the time being, but when I put the media creation tool onto a dvd and tried booting up from the dvd, it didn't work

The MediaCreation tool is to create a DVD or USB.
You don't boot from that thing.

After you have made you install media, you boot from that.

While Rufus works, the MediaCreation tool from MS also downloads the actual Windows 10 ISO file to create that boot media. Which Rufus does not.
