I was wondering whether I could overclock this chip or not to get a little bit more performance out of it. I don't know if the chip is locked or not but I wanted to ask the forum. Thanks for any replies!

Solution
Press it and see what happens, my guess is that is will either do nothing or possibly unlock the baseclock or let you tweak the multiplier within the turbo boost limits. Your cpu is not a K version so it will definitely not unlock all the multipliers.

All non-K/X CPUs have locked multiplier, except for the Pentium G3258 "25th Anniversary" edition.

Skylake CPUs can be overclocked by a significant amount through base clock modification since the CPU/RAM has a separate base clock from IOs. In older Intel CPUs though, there is only one reference clock for everything and USB/PCIe does not overclock by more than about 5%, making BCLK overclocking largely pointless
