I have a samsung 850 evo ssd. I also have a WD 1TB Blue. For some reason my computer is booting of the hdd and wont recognize my ssd. How can i get it to be recognized? I have cloned the hdd. It is recognized in my file browser but is not in the bios.

Solution
First check that the drives are securely connected with respect to power and data connections. Make note of the connections: e.g., drive 0, drive 1.

Second, check the drive boot order in BIOS.

Also verify that the drive jumper pins (if any) are set correctly. Reference the Samsung SSD and WD HDD drive manuals accordingly.

Welcome to the TH Community, Jared!

I definitely agree with @Ralston and also advise you to check the connections and the boot order in BIOS. Another thing you could try is unplugging the WD blue from the SATA ports and attempt to boot with just the SSD intact. If it fails to boot properly, you might want to consider repeating the cloning procedure. It's not uncommon for the process to fail copying some important system files, however, the second time around should hopefully get the job done.

Either way, make sure you backup your data somewhere off-site before tampering with the storage configuration. Better safe than sorry.

Keep us posted with the troubleshooting. Hope this helps.
