I have a question, why is the 1060 cheaper than the best kind of GTX 960.... the 1060 has way higher speeds than the 960.

Also which brand of GTX 1060 do I get thats under 325 or 350 dollars that fits in a ATX computer

Yes, if you can afford it I would definitely get the 1060 over the 960. There are a lot of different brands and models that are very good. My only suggestion would be to read reviews of each model and find which one fits what you are looking for. The simplest would be to see which has the highest core clock from the factory (if you don't want to manually overclock yourself) as this would indicate a faster card. I tend to just pick the cheapest from any major brand that has at least 2 fans, but I also overclock them myself.

Go with the RX 480 https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-al.... I'm normally an NVIDIA guy but the RX 480 is the best option in your price range. It will far outlast the 1060 because it will have better support for future API's (DX12, Vulkan, etc.) which means far superior performance. You can internet search the technical details on this topic if you want further clarification but unless you have a G-sync monitor, I'd go with the RX 480.

err, first off, no, the 1060 is around 5-10% faster than the 480, thats a fact, search up benckmarks. AND the RX 480's tdp is 150 watts, while the 1060 is 120 watts, are you sure you did research before you posted your comment?

Isn't the GIGABYTE GTX 1060 card faster than the EVGA? Can you tell me what is the fastest 1060 card available?

The fastest card available from the factory is the one with the highest core clock. You'll probably have to do some of your own research to determine that. Go through them on Newegg.com and see what you find. Even better, divide the core clock by the price to get a ratio, and the card with the highest ratio is the best value.

Or just buy the cheapest non reference 1060 like that EVGA and have fun, they aren't that different from each other, and you can always overclock it yourself to get as much performance as possible.

I did do that and I think the best is the GIGABYTE one? Could you find out if I am correct? I sort of got confused between the OC mode and the Silent mode and the Gaming mode o_O

Is the gigabyte one really the fastest one?

Which one is fastest at overclocked straight from the box, no manual overclocking? Which one has the potential to get the highest manual overclock?

It's a lottery, ever GPU is slightly different. So unless a company can get hold of GPUs that have been "binned", then is purely luck as to how good it is at overclocking. The best you can do is get a card with a good cooler and good power delivery and hope you got lucky in the silicon lottery.

No, you guys don't understand. I get that each CPU, each GPU, each metal thing in your box is different. Same with instruments, even if they are made the same way and use the same materials, no two instruments are the same.

What I mean is based on the descriptions that the company gives, which GTX 1060 is the fastest. Based on the description of the company. So if Company A says they have a speed of 1, and Company B says they have a speed of 2, Company B is probably faster even though every GPU is different.

So which company makes the fastest GPU? Please help me :( :( :( :( :(

I want to actually know the specific company, not just oh yeah don't think too much and buy a random one like this: blahblahblah
