best cpu for my pc? price and limitations

Hello everyone.
I have recently bought a new gpu for my pc and now i'm planning to get a new cpu to reduce the bottleneck

Here are my specs:
GTX 970 4gb
10 gb ram corsair
Mb Asus M5A78L-M LX V2
My actual cpu FX6100
PS 500w corsair

My mb don't work with intel cpus and I don't have enoght money to buy a new mb and a new power supply - from what i've read, mine can handle a little more yet.

So, for the price it costs, was planning to get a FX8350.
What do you guys think? Whitout any OC, my setup will run without any problems? Its an acceptable change?
Any other tips?

The FX-8350 is a good choice, but an 8320e would be better if you overclock.

Go for FX 83xx series with "e" at suffix.
These models are designed to consume less power and are though not equally powerful as their non "e" variants but will definitely be best choice for you.
As i think your mb wont b able to handle anything more than 125W processor. So keeping safer side go with the e models as they have a max TDP of 95W only.

thanks everybody. i've start to read about and it really looks like this mobo is experiencing problems with FX8350 (mostly because of the TDP).
but following that idea of the "e" variants, maybe the 8370e could be a better option? lower power consumption and 95 TDP. what you guys think?

It's probably your best bet, yes, but I'd be tempted by a cheaper CPU simply to avoid dumping too much money into and older machine. The 8320e is a great value, and can very easily make 8370e clocks with similar voltage and power draw, if you care to tweak it.
