I bought this GTX 1060 a few weeks ago and my original set up with my i5 3570k and intel mobo was so old my mobo couldnt detect the card and they didnt even make new bios updates for my mobo so i made a cheap well... downgrade i suppose with a new mobo and amd x4 870k and am experiencing major bottlenecks is there any fm2+ cpus that wont bottleneck my graphics card?

Solution
I'd just get a new motherboard, something more typical like an asus, gigabyte, msi etc. If you want to overclock the cpu, go for a z77 board. New in box may be a little difficult to come by vs newer sockets but maybe have a look at ebay?

There's an asrock z77 extreme 4 for around $140 plus shipping if you'd rather new.

A bit expensive but the cheapest option given the parts you currently have for a solid gaming pc. The alternative would be to sell the ddr3 (unless you have another need for it) and the cpu. Put that towards an updated motherboard so long as you'd be buying a mobo anyway. Of course that means a new cpu and if you go with an i5 that's easily $200-220...
Unless it was a very special/odd scenario, the 1060 should have worked in the intel rig which would have been much better than that amd cpu. Even a simple motherboard replacement if you suspected a faulty board. Ivy bridge cpu's and motherboards aren't 'so old' that they won't work with a 1060.

As a matter of fact, lga 1155 released only slightly before the fm2+ socket, around 2011. Fm2+ isn't significantly newer than your intel board.

Yeah my intel mobo was a dh61cr and it wouldnt detect my 1060 or my old r7 graphics card i tried contacting intel and they wouldnt help me out with new bios updates cause i guess they dont do support with a mobo as old as mine other suggestions before i shell out money for a new mobo?
