Ok so I recently built my first PC and I've had some trouble. I turn it on and I everything starts up but I get a few different Q codes. (B2, A2, 99, and A9 in that order normally.) The display has an automatic on and it doesn't start for about 1-2 mins after the first Q code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Specs: Asus X99 A-II
I7-6800k
MSI GTX 1080 Armor
Corsair 16gb 3200 MHz RAM
Corsair RM 650x
WD 1TB Caviar Blue HDD
2 256gb Toshiba Q300 pro SSD's
Cryorig A80

This may not be the prob. But look at the sticker on the mobo. One of them have 4 numbers like 0801 at the end of it.

Whats on yours?

That mobo BIOS needs 0801 to support that CPU. Since this mobo supports flashback BIOS, get the BIOS update and flash it

Looks like A2 may mean ide detect. What hdd is connected? Or did you connect one?

B2 maybe the card you installed. If it needs power, did you connect it? Make sure it clicked into the slot

99 maybe the boot device

Ok I'll tried all of that and I think we're getting somewhere. I have an SSD connected and after doing what you said some new things came up. Q-codes B2, Ad, AE, then stuck on AA forever. I don't have a CD drive so is it fine to keep a USB with Windows in one of the USB slots too.

Look like AA is normal. So whats it doing?? Does it post? Can you get into the BIOS?

Looks like AD means ready to boot. Is that USB if its a flash drive bootable?

I]https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1002017/]I think this is what those Q codes mean[/url]

There's nothing on that SSD at the mo is there?

If that USB if it's a flash drive is bootable, (If the install files for windows is on it), and if the mobo supports UEFI/secureboot and if the OS is Win10 x64 select these, enable AHCI

Make the flash drive the bootdisk, save settings, then boot from it

Ok so when I mean it goes to a black screen I mean that my monitor detects everything but it shows up as a black screen in 640x480.
