who else here still using an old keyboard or mouse ? will i myself admit i still use old dell mechanical keyboard and guess how old it is ? its almost 30 years but still working really smooth hehehehe

If it ain't broke it ain't broke......well that was a dumb sentence. Anywho, no need to upgrade what you are ok with.

How old is your mouse. If its ancient also, there may be a reason to upgrade that thing.

I have tons of old trusty gear that I plan on using as long as I can. They just don't make things the way they used to, and if you can find quality now it cost an arm and a leg.

The clicking noise on old keyboards is kinda loud but they are what I grew up with so it has never bothered me as long as I don't try using it in a room where someone is trying to sleep.. I still have some old AT 5pin din type keyboards from IBM 386 and 486 systems that I use on computers with PS2 ports with an adapter. They are so rugged your could use them for home defense. Also some of the old cases were absolute tanks so I converted some AT cases for ATX use.

Yes I still use old keyboards but usually only on older machines (Pentium 3 and older).

Until recently (like a year ago) I used an old IBM mechanical KB (that's one with magnetic switches and XT/AT switch). It hails from late 1980s. Had to repaint letters few times.

I was, old one from 1980s. Looks like the chip burned. On XT they used a sound chip as KB controller. There's an XT/AT switch at the back side.
