I just moved and plugged my PC back in. Right before plugging it in I unplugged and took out a couple hard drives I didn't need in it anymore. When I started the computer after a couple mins the computer crashed but the mouse kept moving. I restarted the computer and it crashed on bootup and said I needed to reinstall windows. I did this and it crashed during the windows install. Then it wouldn't send any data to my screen through my graphic card (a week old 1080). I plugged my monitor into the onboard graphics and had to do a fresh install of windows 7. I then upgraded back to windows 10. Computer works fine as long as there is no graphic card installed. If I put in my old 680ti or my 1080 it freezes on the windows boot screen. If I run through my built in mobo graphics it works fine. Did I fry my motherboard? Any ideas? Did I break both graphic cards somehow?

I doubt the issue is with the GPUs, at the sounds of it, you could have a faulty PCI-E Slot, that could have a dodgy connection, have you tried the GPUs on a different motherboard? That could just reassure you that the GPU is not the issue.

But to me, it sounds like a faulty PCI-E Slot.
