Hello there, I would like to ask the community for their opinions and suggestions about gaming laptops vs gaming desktops. I will post 2 links down bellow and I would like you to suggest which one should I buy? I'm only a student who would like to upgrade from AMD A8 laptop to something better with a good performance. I would like to use this PC for studying and also for some light gaming such as CSGO, Rust and mostly any fps games but nothing really special. I'm not an expert with bulding a desktops so I think I would rather should choose something already built for me such as the laptop. As I said I'm only a student so I would prefer laptop so I can take it anywhere but usually in schools students use school laptops/desktops/tablets or whatever. I'm also on a low budget so in the future it would be much easier and cheaper just to upgrade my build than buying a new laptop. If you know about any other devices which could suit me please comment down bellow. Thank you for help.

Gaming Desktops are almost always more powerful ( the only exceptopn is when you have a 3000 $ laptop ) and you get more bang for the buck + you can upgrade everything in a PC so go for the mini pc build

Thank you for your answer, I was thinking the same way so that is why I created that part list first and than found something to compare it. I personally think desktops especially gaming ones can manage the heat better so they won't overheat even after a long time. But laptops are not made to overheat, because that would burn your keyboard so they can't perform as good as desktops. At least that is what I think. What do you think??

If I should go for the Mini ITX PC build which case would you recommend me to use? Because I heard that the Thermaltake V21 is a bit too big in width. But normal mid or mini towers would probably take less space on my desk or even on the floor. I was thinking to use this case instead: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/2kTrxr/phanteks-case-phes215pbk The price difference is minimum, but it only fits in Mini ITX mb so that could be a bit of disadvantage when upgrading. What do you also think about this?

I made another discussion this morning about the prices boosting up in UK after BREXIT. You can check it out as well to see how the price of my build went up massivelly in the past few weeks. If you can recommend my anything I would be really thankful. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-3163644/prices-electronics-brexit.html

Not really, I think it doesn't matter. I will probably use Mini ITX mb as it is in the part list so I'm not looking for any massive as the mb won't take so much space. But any Mid Tower cases wouldn't be bad as it fits into my budget. The cae should be around £50. As I said I like the Phanteks case: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/2kTrxr/phanteks-case-phes215pbk What do you think about it?

I personally think the same and I agree. The only disadvantage I think is that it only supports Mini ITX motherboards. There are also extended same looking cases for ATX motherboards but they cost about 2x more and they are a bit too big if I'm only using Mini ITX motherboard. I also checked the reviews and for start it would be a good case to go for. Now I only need to wait until the prices drop back under £800 and than I'm ready to go. Thank you for your help.
