Hello everyone,
I am trying to build a PC that will be used for gaming at 1440p and general use (youtube, light video editing). I have picked out a set of components that i am interested in buying but i am still looking for ways to try and alter my build. My budget isn't restricted but i was to be around $1500AUD, give or take $200. I am not looking to OC the processor. The components i am considering are:

Processor: Intel Core i5 6600
Motherboard: MSi B150M Bazooka
Memory: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2400MHz Memory Black HX424C15FB2K2/16
SSD: Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB 2.5" SATA III SSD SUV400S37/240G
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA200 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM SATA3 Desktop Hard Drive
Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8GB Video Card
PSU: Corsair RM650x 650W 80 Plus Gold Full Modular Power Supply
Case: DeepCool Tesseract BF Mid-Tower Case - Black

Solution
CPU - The 6600 isn't going to net you any practical gains over the 6500. If anything, step up to the i7-6700.
MB - The Bazooka is overpriced.
MEM - B150 (and H110 / H170) are "limited" to DDR4-2133.
PSU - A nice unit, but overpriced.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($198.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($73.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($64.99 @ B&H)
Storage: Sandisk Z400s 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Blue 2TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive...

Just double check your pricing because in the US at least, the RM650x is the same price as the RM750x(on sale Newegg), and the 6600 is actually $10 more expensive than the faster/unlocked 6600k

Thanks for the reply grim.
Sorry, i forgot to mention i am not looking to overclock the cpu,the 6600k is $20 more here and does not include a heatsink, would it be worth the upgrade? Also, would the 750 benefit me over the 650 as here in AUS it costs $20?

Well, no if you aren't overclocking, then it probably isn't worth it. According to Intel they both Turbo up to 3.9GHz. However in the US the 6600 is actually more expensive right now, so for US buyers I definitely would recommend the 6600k.

Also, I'm not a huge fan of the Intel stock cooler, OC or otherwise.

Same w/ the PSU. Since here in the US it's the same price for the 750 so I recommend it, but you won't go wrong with the 650.

However I do think you also can keep in mind SLI. If you ever plan to get a second 1070 for SLI, you may prefer the 750w, because depending on your fan setup, lighting, USB devices, etc, a 650w PSU on SLI might be strained.

I actually purchased the 650w, but when the 750w went on sale to make it cheaper, I returned it for the 750. It's your choice though.

I didn't really look at the rest of the build yet, but I'll try to give it a glance over.

Thank you, this is what i was looking for. Is there a reason you listed a different HDD, prices are equal here in AUS but the WD blue has a lower rpm so would you still recommend it? Also, was this DDR4-2133 ram you listed chosen for price compared to other 2133s?

One 1070 would be enough as they are incredibly expensive in AUS compared to the US at $700AUD = ~$535USD.
I will look into an aftermarket heat sink.
