Yeah, a very basic and noob question. I would just like to know if ram speed is a matter if you are going to cut, copy or paste large files???? or in other words if you are going to move some files on your computer to another location in your computer!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

The HDD/SSD controls the read and write times of the data being transferred.
RAM has nothing to do with it, so long as your system is not bottlenecking from excessive RAM usage.
Running 2GB of RAM on a recent i5 system would be an example of this.
As long as your PC is perfectly functional, it will always be based on the device transferring the file.

I would think not. Ram is one of the fastest storage mediums available in your system. more likely the wait times are from read/write times from the dedicated storage, HDD/SSD.
copy- data is read from storage and placed into RAM.
paste- data is read from RAM and written to new storage location.
your main storage is the most likely bottleneck in this case.

not having enough RAM to cache the data would slow the entire operation down too.
example moving 4GB of data with only 2GB ram
