I have installed Samsung 750 Evo 120 GB SSD on my old pc with below config.
Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2 ghz
Avertek G41 -775 MoBo
4 GB Ram

I have also connected 320 GB Internal harddisk as my secondary disk.

Now, when I run Samsung Magician under OS Optimization it shows -
"AHCI is disabled for one or more connected SSDs.System must boot in AHCI mode for best performance"

Also under System info - it shows -
AHCI Mode - Deactivated
(IDE or RAID)

Should I enable AHCI Mode?
Will my system support it?
I have checked BIOS It shows option to enable AHCI Mode.

Solution
Do that if you wish I would just leave it your not going to see any difference with that boards SATA 3gbs port that is all the G41 board has right.

If you switch modes then you will need to reinstall windows. Just leave it alone it's not going to make much differance[/quotemsg]

Thank you for the answer. I found one way to change mode without reinstalling windows by registry edit.

But do you still suggest to do that, or Should I keep it as it is?
