Will a 42W mutli device charger charge faster than an 18W single device charger if I only plug in one device?

If charge changes according to number of devices connected, can I get faster charging by opting for a multi-device charger (as these have higher voltage outputs) and connecting only a single device? I'm trying to find the quickest charger with quickcharge 3.0 and I see options for 18W single device and 42W multi device chargers.

No. The device being charged will regulate the maximum current (wattage) it charges at (assuming the charger can supply that maximum charge rate) after a point charging a battery faster reduces its lifespan
