dumb question I'm sorry but the picture they provide is a bit confusing as my mobo is missing the 2nd slot indicated in the picture.

Picture below is the X99 asus rampage board I have. Nvidia's guide is a bit confusing. I am planning to SLI 2 cards (1 on top most slot, 1 on the 4th slot down [so technically, 3rd red slot]).

With that being said, is it the 4-slot size I need?

Solution
3-slot would be the most common with any recent LGA1150 or LGA1151 board.

4-slot really only applies to boards like yours that have quad SLI support.

2-slot would be found on some triple SLI boards, but the 4-slot would more often then not also work for them.

For three and four way sli it is actually a dual bridge, similar to the high bandwidth one you are picking up. That is why they only officially support two SLI with the Titan X, 1080, and 1070.

Thanks Eximo I appreciate it. Truth be told the reason I was concerned was because the 4-slot one was the only one still in-stock at the time i ordered from nvidia. I figured maybe it was because it was a rare config many people didn't use or something.

Anyways you're right I'll give it a measure next time. Thanks again!
