Hi!
I'm facing a weird issue with USB 3.0 on my computer. I tried everything that comes to my mind, but no luck. I hope someone can shed some light on it!
After formatting my HDD and installing Windows 10 64bit, I noticed USB 3.0 is not working as it should. Actually, the devices plugged on the back and front connectors are detected, but they do not perform as 3.0s. They have regular 2.0 speeds. This happens on all USB 3.0 ports, no matter if they are on the back or front.
Windows is using their own drives because Gigabyte doesnt offer any drives for Windows 10 when it comes to chipset or USB 3.0.
In other words, everytime I plug an USB 3.0 compatible device, the device is connected to a 2.0 HUB, even though it's an 3.0 controller and drivers are installed correctly (no errors shown on device manager). See my device manager:

Here is what I tried so far:
- Installed Etron 3.0 drivers (need to force windows to use those drivers). After installing, I see an UNKNOWN DEVICE on device manager, which cannot be installed anyway. After some time, the USB device will show some error like CODE 43.
- Installed VIA drivers (VL 805) and they do work (even though I need to manully install, bypassing windows alerts), but I still get the same 2.0 speeds.
- Tried enabling/disabling XHCI hand-off, EHCI hand-off, USB legacy support, etc...
- Disconnected power cable for some minutes and turned computer ON. Same.
To sum up:
Installing drivers don't seem to be an option because they are not compatible with Windows 10 or do not fix the problem.
