I am about to buy the new RX470 Red Devil from PowerColor, on the card there is a switch that changes the clock of the GPU. The switch changes it from the normal 1220MHz to the ultimate OC 1270MHz. I was wondering if it is safe to always have ultimate OC mode always on, even when i'm just web browsing? It would be pain to have to open up my case and pull the switch every time i want to play a game. Thank you in advance for your help.

Solution
Yes, it will be perfectly safe.
It has been tested for a factory overclock, and should be able to handle any presets in the software.
If it doesn't, request a replacement or RMA.

Shouldn't be a concern. If it's just a factory "OC" clock speed, then it's a standard clock for the graphics card to operate at a safe temperature/speed without damaging itself or any internal components.
