I have a $1200 budget and i need advice on the build i have come up with, "is the bang worth the buck" or can i get the same performance with a cheaper build? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/rnHfPs I will be playing arma3 and dcs world, i would like to be able to play on the highest settings if possible, i will be recycling parts from my current build.
-corsair 750watt psu (about 8 years old but still working fine)
-1TB hhd (for games)
-27" monitor 1920/1080
-NXT Tempest tower

any advice would be greatly appreciated, probably ordering on Friday. I do want to overclock so i chose the K version cpu.

Solution
You mentioned bang for buck so the 3 changes I made saved you $32 and won't affect performance at all. The DDR4-3200 is not worth an extra $13 over the DDR4-2800. I even slapped in a much better cooler.

If you're only gaming, the i5 is all you need.

Better bang for buck. Are you sure you don't just need an i5?

thanks for the response, will i see much of a difference between the I5 and the I7, i know i can save around $100 with the I5, also you changed the mobo what is the difference between the msi and the asus other than price, also the memory i was thinking the ddr4-3200 would be better than the ddr4-2800, im a complete noob when it comes to picking parts and getting the most for my money
