Cpu to motherboard compatibility

Considering that motherboard is has an AM3 socket and the FX-4300 is an AM3+ CPU... no, they won't work together.

That would be true, in most cases however it`s a Foxconn motherboard.
So there for a very cheap, low quality motherboard probably used or that has been in a pre built system.
Any how bellow is a link to some foxconn motherboards, with the cpu`s they support.
Cody the number you quoted is not the motherboard model number, you should find another model number listed or silk screen printed on the motherboard.
You will need it to see if the board can support FX based cpu`s most of there AM3 cpu socket motherboards don`t Btw.

Foxconn 2AB1 with a BIOS update* may or not (not all do) support a AM3+ CPUs but if it works, it will never perform the same as an AM3+ motherboard... and being there are so many AM3+ mobos around, better get one of those.
