Looking to get a new rig to accommodate recording game play videos and playing games on decent settings.

-ASUS Maximus VIII Hero Skylake ATX Motherboard; LGA1151 socket for 6th-gen Intel Core
-Intel Core i7 6700K Processor (4 GHz, 4 Core, 8 Threads, 8 MB cache, LGA1151 Socket Box)
-MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8GB GDDR5X Graphics Card
-Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) 2400 MHz CL14 XMP 2.0 DDR4
-Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB 2.5 inch Solid State Drive
-WD BLUE Desktop 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive (SATA, 6Gb/SEC, 6 TB, 64MB)
-Corsair RM650x Series Full Modular 650W PSU
-Cooler Master RR-212E-16PK-R1 Hyper 212 Evo
-Asus DVD Rewriter Drive
-NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower

Budget is roughly £1800. Give or take.

Ton of amazing (and quiet) coolers out there, but some of the most highly suggested are the Kraken line like the Kraken x61 (http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1408-page6.html), but they aren't actually compatible with your case!

If you keep that case, you're probably better off just sticking with the EVO or maybe an H80i

Absolutely horrible PSU choice for that level of build. Get one of the following instead, and drop your motherboard to a more acceptable version if necessary:
EVGA G2 650
Seasonic 660XP2
Seasonic G 650
Corsair RM650x
XFX TS Gold 650

You'll be much happier in the long run.

Thanks for commenting and suggesting, I appreciate it!

I like the Corsair RM650x you suggested, so I've changed my PSU to that.

Should be OK with the mobo, both are ATX.

I meant if you couldn't budge the budget you should get a cheaper mobo, but if that's not an issue you should like that system quite well.

I would still suggest a cheaper mobo (Gigabyte Gaming 5 is usually ~$150 compared to the Hero's $225) and getting a better cooler, but that's a matter of preference rather than necessity.

What cooler would you suggest? I'm content with the mobo but I'm more than happy to up the cooler.
