I've currently got a Asrock z77 pro4 mother board and looking to upgrade the CPU to an Intel i5 3470s, I'm just wondering if they're compatible.

Thanks in advance

It shouldn't be a problem, they are both LGA1155 socket. But why the Intel i5 3470s specifically? You could also choose something like a i5 2500k or a i7 2700k, which packs a bit more punch...

In that case good luck :) Btw, you current CPU have same thermal output as the i5 your looking at (65 watt TDP), so if your current cooler is doing okay, you shouldn't need to upgrade that.
