So the title pretty much says it, i've already read the forums about this problem.. it happens when i turn a switch on/off, my computer turns black for a sec.. people say the problem is that the power switches and electrical stuff in my house has not been replaced in decades.. others say the problem is in my mobo, cause i have a mobo with pci-e 2, and my 750 ti is pci-e 3, the other thing is that this problem happens only when i'm connected with hdmi, dvi-vga, vga-vga work just fine.. i use hdmi-mini hdmi, just cause my video card has a mini hdmi.. i suspect that there are multiple problems, but if this about the pci-e stuff is true, i suspect it can damage the mobo badly... sorry if i have bad english, it's not my main language

If the adapter is bad, you should look into a cable that has mini HDMI on one end and regular HDMI on the other instead of an adapter. I used to have an adapter for my tablet which has mini HDMI and it fried itself under normal use. I then got a cable like I described and it works much better.

The fact that VGA and DVI work fine indicates that there isn't a problem with anything else except either the monitor, the HDMI cables and/or adapters or the video card. Your motherboard sounds fine and that PCIe...
