Hello internet, I have a slow CPU called A10 5800k, which only yields most 239 on cinebench and roughly 40 fps 768p at Mafia 2 with 750 ti
I have a few deals on my country that sells i7 950 with an Asus p6t or Rampage Extreme 2
I read that it doesn't support windows 10, should I grab the deal or wait for Zen?
As for the GPU I'll wait for Vega or grab 460 when it comes out

Looking at Passmark, the A10-5800k CPU part scores ~4600 and the i7-950 scores ~5,600. That nets you about a 20% improvement in raw CPU power. That really isn't a major upgrade when you consider the i7 has twice as many threads. That really isn't a major upgrade when you consider the i7 has twice as many threads. Also, the architecture of the A10-5800k is newer, it has better single core performance, is more efficient and has more features and instruction sets. You can also get a better overclock with the AMD APU if you have a good cooler. In many ways, the i7-950 is actually a bit of a downgrade. I'd stick with the AMD for now and wait for something with a newer architecture that will give you a better overall performance upgrade.

About Windows 10 - you should be able to install and run Windows 10 with the i7 950 but the issue is probably with the motherboard/chipset drivers. Like many older parts, they probably only have drivers for that board up to Windows 7 or 8.1. But, in most cases, those Windows 7 and 8.1 drivers should work in Windows 10. I wouldn't worry too much about that..
