I am planning on building a PC for gaming, it will primarily be used for games such as CS:GO but in the future potentially games such as Battlefield 1.

I'm not really in the know when it comes to gaming pc's as I am coming over from console but here is a list of parts I am planning of using.

Amd a10-7850k quad core
8gb ram ddr3 (1x8gb)
Micro atx motherboard
Standard hdd

At the moment I cannot afford a graphics card but plan on getting something like a gtx 970. My issue is whether the PC I build now will need to be upgraded to be used well with the graphics card to be used on games such as battlefield 1?

If I do make this build will it require upgrades or will the gpu be good enough to make up for these games?

Solution
Yea, the i3 6100's graphics are a bit better than the 7850k's. The 7850k was about even with an R7 240, graphics wise, and the HD 530 graphics are better, going by the hierarchy chart. I changed the PSU, because the one you chose is not as good, quality wise.

The A10-7850K is a very thin budget option - for use as an APU ie, with no discreet GPU. You can add a GPU to run with it, but it's main benefit is being a CPU + GPU itself.

What is your budget? Are you reusing any components? You make no mention of a case or PSU?

You are going to need more than that. CPU wise. I wouldn't go below an i3 6100, at this point. All current AMD platforms are a dead end, upgrade wise. At least with an i3 6100, you will have a platform with upgrade potential. Also the i3 6100 can handle even a GTX 970, fairly well. The 7850k would not be able to properly feed a GTX 970. It would be only good for up to about a GTX 950, at best.

This is my list of parts excluding the gpu. I am on a budget of £300 give or take £20. This is mainly for cs:go at the moment until Christmas which is when I will be getting a graphics card, ssd and more ram etc. This is completely from scratch. Do you recemmend any other CPUs that can run csgo without a gpu that are better for the time being?

Based on my reply to the other answer, would you suggest that I use the i3 6100 by itself? This is for games such as cs up until Christmas when I get a gpu or will it need a gpu now for games such as cs?

Thanks for the advice, think I will order the psu of which you have recommended.

Another FYI - If your router includes AC wifi, you might want to 'step up' on that Wifi adapter. I have a 100Mb/s down plan (achievable only over AC) and use this: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/wXL7YJ/asus-wireless-network-card-usbac55 to reach the speeds in my signature (as fast as a hard-wired connection in my house).

Of course, if you only have N standards, then the one you picked will be fine.

Thanks for the advice but where I live I can only get N standards.
